Silver Sands Beach & Park is a place, not a data business. This website exists to help people find the property and know what to expect before they visit. We collect as little information as possible.

What we collect

This site has no accounts, no logins, no newsletter signup, and no contact form. We do not sell, rent, or share information about visitors with anyone. The one thing we do collect is anonymous, aggregate visit data through Google Analytics, described below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see, in aggregate, how many people visit this site, which pages they read, and roughly where visitors are coming from. Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. It does not collect your name or email address, and we do not use it for advertising.

This data is processed by Google – see Google's privacy policy for how they handle it. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. They exist to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to identify you.

If you email us

If you write to us at the address on the Contact page, we will have your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Changes

If the site changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
